International Summer Session(ISS)

The International Summer Session (ISS) at Hankuk  University of Foreign  Studies (HUFS) offers a unique opportunity to students who want to broaden their understanding of Korean society and enhance their Korean language proficiency. The session provides students with a carefully planned curriculum and the courses are taught by some of the most prominent scholars in the field of Korean Studies, many of whom are invited from prestigious foreign universities to teach for the summer session. The faculty and students together create a rich and cosmopolitan atmosphere which is conducive to an in-depth understanding of the society and the subject matter. Courses of instruction cover various areas, including history, arts and literature, economy and business, politics, society and culture, as well as language. The session is open to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students, as well as to independent scholars interested in the field  of Korean Studies (See detailed admission requirements under Qualification for Admission section.)
